"This was a trip that exceeded our wildest expectations! No kidding. We absolutely loved it. The house and grounds were immaculate and well maintained. The location was spectacular and very close to everything we wanted to see on west Maui. The house was well supplied with all of the basic necessities. We picked this house since we were having a family reunion (4 households) and we wanted some space to be together for family times and we also wanted enough space for private times away from the others. It worked out perfectly. The ocean view from the patio and pool area is absolutely beautiful. Access to the beach area is quick and simple. Thanks Nija!"

"Amazing villa was the vacation of a lifetime"

"I had the most amazing stay at the Magic Hale Villa on the West side of Maui not too long ago. The pristine white villa was the perfect romantic getaway. Located on a quiet, upscale neighborhood north of Lahaina, we had a week to just relax in our own private villa. Honestly, I had planned to take in more of the sights of Maui, but with the private beach, a cove perfect for snorkeling or rafting, and the open spacious villa to relax in, we found ourselves only going out for dinners in nearby Lahaina or Kaanapali. "Princess-by-the-Sea was even better than we had hoped"

"We planned a trip to Hawaii for our families; we ended up with 17 in our group (age range from 13 to 77yo). We looked at hotels and condos, but decided one large house would be best, given 1)the price of 8 hotel rooms and 2)the logistics of getting together 17 people at the same time when staying in 3 or 4 condo units- yeah, right! One house would be best. We just happened upon Princess-by-the-Sea and I said That's it! 2 houses, 7 bd/6ba with a pool on the water in downtown Lahaina! We called Nija at Hawaii Bound and she answered our questions about the property, gave us tips on things to do, where to shop. Nija provided excellent service from the initial transaction to opening up the property upon our arrival. The property itself was fantastic; spotlessly maintained, plenty of linens, and well appointed kitchens. We rented both houses and the bed/bathroom layouts were very amenable for two of our parents with mobility issues. Everybody was comfortable in their rooms and beds.

The best thing: a two minute walk along the shore to Bubba Gump Shrimp House. We could hear very faintly music coming from the Hard Rock Cafe one evening when we were outside, but it was by no means disruptive. Just enough to feel like you could walk to a party, if you wanted. We felt very comfortable letting the 4 teenagers (two 13yo girls, and 16,18,19yo boys) go off by themselves to take in the sights in town (not in Mexico!). It was truly the trip of a lifetime- for all of us to get together and be able to spend all day, relaxing by the pool, walking to the beach, enjoying the view and each others' company. Princess-by-the-Sea was a big part of enabling us to do just that. We really didn't need to plan any excursions; good snorkeling was right there over the rock wall. We would go there again in a heartbeat and I have recommended it to many friends already." ~ Linda W. January 2012

"A beatiful house with an even better view!"

"My family and our friends stayed here [Magic Hale] in the last week of July and had an amazing time. After losing our other house rental last minute, we had to scramble to find a house that would accommodate the 11 of us. Immediately after walking in, our breathe was taken away. The house was super clean and was filled with plenty of natural light. The bedrooms where very spacious and the in-suite bathrooms were more than we could ask for. The outdoor patio/ pool area was very large and could accommodate our entire party and view was absolutely breath taking. The sunsets were picturesque and the turtles that lived on our beach were a great addition. The house passed all of our expectations and there was not much else to be desired. The only complaint that we may have was that the outdoor speakers weren't that loud (I'm assuming they controlled the volume as to not bother the neighbors). Our party enjoyed ourselves the entire week and the house was phenomenal! Hopefully we can come back soon!" ~ E. Levine August, 2011

"A little Gem in Paia, Hi." [Paia Baby Beach Hale]

"The pictures of this "cottage" don't do it justice. You may not realize it.. but you are on the beach. The wind is blowing and you are watching surfers, wind surfers, and whales from your lanai. There is a very safe beach to swim, and walk every day. In a week we had one rainy day. That was a great day to go exploring and do lunch at Mommas Fish House.

Access to the crater and upcountry is very easy from here. Golfing at the Maui Country Club is open to the public every Monday. $25.00 for 9 holes and it's 2 blocks from the house.

Our hosts when home, live next door and are very helpful with questions and tips about what to do.

The house had everything we needed. Great kitchen, and very comfortable bed. The only noise was the ocean pounding on the beach." ~jjzal March, 2011
